I am reading an excellent novel right now, "The Help" by Kathyrn Stockett. My sister-in-law gave it to me for Christmas. The detail and character development in this novel is absolutely amazing. It takes place during the 1960's civil rights movement, (era). One of the main characters, Miss Skeeter is a white woman, who recently graduated from college and comes back home to Jackson, Mississippi.
