Hello everyone, how are you! Pretty quiet weekend around here, for once it was actually quite nice not to have to be in five different places at once. Tyler had a baseball game on Sat. morning, and unfortunately they lost--again. Then we were off the kids' school for their annual school carnival, it's a huge fundraising event for the PEPTC, I had to work the duck pond booth---very exciting. We came home with the Lego Basket which we won in the silent auction basket. The kids loved that! And of course I had to do the 'cake walk' with Aaron. It was an amazing event with lots of fun things to do with the kids! Then we were off to Target and the Hallmark store, our Hallmark store had a webkinz extravanganza this weekend. The kids love them, and they are a great bribery tool. I spent thirty dollars at the Hallmark store and got three webkinz for FREE. The kids were in paradise. So, things are pretty quiet for the moment. I am looking forward to book club tomorrow, this month we read "A Thousand Splendid Suns", very exciting read and I am looking forward to the discussion.
Also, today my real estate agent came by and she took a look at our house and was able to figure out how much we could sell this place for, still trying to find that 'perfect house'---is that possible???

I thought I knew what dissapointment was until......
Last weekend my son Tyler had a track meet, it was on Fri. and Sat.. On Fri. he ran the 400m and the 800m. Sat. his races were the 800m the 1500m and the 1600m relay. The coach gave us specific instructions to be at the track 60-90 mins before each event. After Tyler's 1500m run on Sat. we went home for awhile, (we live pretty close to the high school). I thought I would have plenty of time to get some things done and then get him back in time for his relay race. Well, time went by and his event was scheduled for 3:45. We got to the track at 3:00 and his event was just finishing. They were way ahead of schedule. And he missed his race. It was the most horrible feeling, my stomach sank and my eyes started to swell up with tears. Tyler had missed his race, he was so disappointed and he began to cry. The coach told us that is why she wants us to the track earlier than the event is scheduled. She gave us complete and detailed instructions, if I would have followed them then I could have prevented Tyler from missing his race. I told the story the next day in Primary, we were talking about following the prophet and how we are given complete and detailed istructions from our Heavenly Father and the prophets, and if we don't follow them, then we can miss out on the blessings that the Lord has promised us. Tyler and I learned a great lesson that day, life is full of surprises, fun times and also disappointments and unfortunately sometimes we have to learn the hard way.
It was so worth it!!
WOW! They came, they cleaned, they left. I gave myself the best present yesterday. I had a cleaning crew come yesterday and they cleaned my whole entire house! It looks awesome. They cleaned everything, stove, oven, ceiling fans, scrubbed the tile grout, changed the sheets, windows and much, much more! They worked for almost four hours and there were five of them altogehter, they were amazing. That's 20 hours of man power to clean this place--almost embarrasing. It was so worth it!

Catch Up!
Hello to all my greatest fans who read my blog! Love you too! We have had two fun weekends in a row, for the first weekend in April we were able to go to Anissa's house and spend time with her and her family, we were able to see Kirsha, Jane, Papa and the Wickham's. It was so much fun. Thanks Anissa you were a great host and a good cook! Last weekend I was able to go to Fresno on Fri. night for 'Time Out for Women', it was so much fun! Friday night there was musical entertainment plus Ardeth Kapp was the speaker. On Sat. the music was by, Mercy River and Kenneth Cope and talks by Sharon Larsen, Mary Ellen Edmunds, Dean Hughes, Emily Watts, it was fabulous! Then our stake conference was Sat. night, we had a visiting authority by a member of the first quroum of the seventy, Bro. Madsen, he was awesome! And then of course he spoke to us on Sunday, he is a powerful speaker. I think it was the first time since we have had children that we made it through two hours of stake conference without taking anyone out! It was amazing! Aaron was so good, and he was so mad, because he didn't get to go to nursery! So I did WAY too much sitting this weekend, I don't remember the last time I sat so much! (probably last year when I attended BYU women's conference). I was definitely spiritually charged and ready to take on the world. And then today is 'tax day', oh what a pain! We always owe to the IRS, so I feel very poor and depressed right now! Oh, such is life! As my friend has told me, at least you have money to pay, yes that is true. Well, to everyone who is reading my posts I hope you have a good day.

"In like a Lion, out like a lamb"
Wow, it's been almost a month since I posted something, I love doing it and checking other's blogs. I feel like this morning I get to sit down for a few minutes and catch my breath. I have been SO busy. I have no idea where the month of March went, I blinked and it was over. The month of March reminds me of that saying "In like a Lion, out like a lamb". During the month of March we had the whole interior of the house painted, what a project! On the Fri. they were done painting, we took off for family vacation and drove to St. George where we vacationed for a few days, we met up with the Wickham's and Lori and Brenda, it was so fun to see ALL of you. We had a great time! On March 17th, JD and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary! Our vacation consisted of swimming at the hotel, relaxing in the hot tub, visiting Snow Canyon and touring Zion National Park. So we came home to boxes everywhere (from the painting project) and I am still trying to put the house back together. The house looks great, they did a great job!
I also had to get Jacob ready for outdoor ed, he is camping in the mountains this week with the other 6th graders. I was a nervous and stressed out Mom on Mon. trying to get him ready for the week. This is the first time one of my children have been away from me for an extended period of time. I'm sure he is having the time of his life and not missing us one bit.
This year already has been so exciting and so busy, lots of new changes for us, I can't believe what we have done already in 2008. We have gone on two family vacations, bought a new van, I ran in 10k, have had the interior of the house painted, gone to two productions with the family, 'Savior of the World' and 'Bugs bunny on Broadway', Anissa and her family have visited, Lori came to visit, I have taken a trip to Utah with Aaron, have been busy with the kids' extracurricular activities, baseball and swimming, Jacob and I got braces on our teeth. WOW, no wonder I am tired! And things don't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
